Diets feel like an affront because they trigger your need for self-preservation. When you diet, your brain registers lack and takes it as a threat to your survival. We live in a world that can be very toxic about health, weight, beauty, body modification, and trauma.
This is a track to help you:
- befriend your appetite
- reconfigure your brain to register your appetite's cues
- repattern your relationship to exercise
- release bodily trauma
I work primarily with women. I routinely encounter high levels of body shame, diet indoctrination, and highly politicized body beliefs not actually invested in health. At the same time, all of these things easily manifest into food-based self-harm, disordered eating, sedentarianism, and/or unwanted appetite patterns, which people are interested in changing. This is my Neurointuitive approach to that need.
